Our Standing with Standards
Conartist Design believes in providing you with not only a great looking web site but a web site that strictly complies with today's web standards which are set out by W3C . Our web sites are hand-coded with XHTML and CSS. We then validate the product to ensure it is compliant to the current guidelines.
Why be valid?
Validation is one of the first steps we take to make sure that your web site will be able to be viewed by as many web browsers on as many platforms as possible. The ensures that whoever visits your site will be able to read your content and experience the full design and functionality of your site.
Tools of the Trade
Static web site code: To code our designs we use XHTML. XHTML is currently readable by the widest number of browsers and web page rendering devices.
Styling your page: Though the quality of XHTML is needed to provide a stable site to support and display content, the real beauty of a web site comes from how it is styled. CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets is used to style each tag of the XHTML code. These files may be attached to all the pages of your web site that contain similar code to implement a consistent theme for you site.
Dynamic web site code: Here at Conartist Design we use PHP as the basis of our dynamic web sites. PHP can be integrated with databases to provide extended functionality to your web site. Applications such as Blogs, CMS's and contact forms are developed using dynamic languages. Microsoft's ASP is also a dynamic language. If your current hosting service does not permit the execution of PHP and you need a dynamic web site that is developed using ASP or related integrations please contact us personally and we will find a solution to your needs.
About the Company
Conartist Design was founded by Connor McKelvey in November of 2006 and its presence on the web began developing in the latter months. Service at Conartist Design is a very casual and personal experience. Questions are always encouraged and will never go unanswered. Conartist Design supports open source products such as Linux, Apache, PHP, and MySQL.
